HOUSE IN A GARDEN

This project is set on a veritable national park for a Marrickville Semi - a 350m2 site, half of which is a magnificent garden - a passion of our client. Our addition snorkelled upwards to the eastern light and tucked in at the garden end to carefully avoid established planting and to enhance the feeling of living spaces enveloped by garden. A modest footprint composed of recycled bricks, spotted gum and timber linings. The morning light is sharp, the afternoon dappled and green. Filled with cool stuff, photographer Andreas Bommert found the angles with ease, and then captured its Arcadian moods.
